Snowgum.jpg

“Being outside is good for the soul. Through my paintings, I try to bring the outside in, immortalising the beauty of a moment, whether it's a snowgum bursting with new shoots, or native flora exploding into flower.

Working predominantly in oil paint I build the layers of a painting slowly overtime. Paying tribute to nature reminds us to slow down and helps us to ground ourselves. So, if my work makes someone stop to take one deeper breath than usual, I'm happy.”
